The Goldfields Register was established in November 2003 to cater for MG enthusiasts who live in and around Central Victoria. The Register currently draws its members from Bendigo, Ballarat, Castlemaine, Maryborough and the Macedon Ranges.

Some members of the Register are long term members of the MG Car Club of Victoria and have been active in club activities for many years, whilst others are relative new comers to the classic car scene. Some are keen racers and involved in historic motor sport whilst others are happy with a Sunday run for a Pub lunch or a picnic.
